What is exact vs modelled here

Exact: the ISA atmosphere and speed of sound, every Mach number, the boom-carpet geometry, dv/dt in g, P = mav, and the star positions over Ramillies for that exact night (GMST + catalogue + Kepler, machine-checked). Reported: the whole chronology, every number on the tape, the BAF study's findings, Meessen's analyses, the 143 mailed reports, the confession, the denials. Modelled: the 3D staging of the chase (tracks never published), the drawn line between the tape's data points, and the scintillation animation. There is no fitted constant anywhere on this bench.

The model, in full

The court applies closed-form arithmetic to the tape's own endpoints: Mach from the ISA speed of sound at the dialled altitude, the still-air boom carpet 2h√(M²−1), acceleration (v₁−v₀)/dt in g, power m·a·v. The sky solves GMST (IAU 1982, verified against the canonical J2000 anchors), transforms the J2000 bright-star catalogue to alt-az over Ramillies, and places Jupiter from Standish mean elements. The night view replays the reported structure with staged coordinates. Every anchor is checked in scripts/belgian-wave-tune.mjs.

Where this instrument takes liberties

The fighters' real tracks, the ghost's positions and the racetrack geometry are invented staging around the reported structure. The stepped tape traces interpolate between published points; the actual recordings are not public at sample level. The scintillation is an animation of a real effect, not a propagation solution. The witness-star identification is the sceptics' claim and is labelled a reading, never a finding.
