Exact: the off-axis cap's centrifugal thrust (closed form), the basal stress budget, the viscous drag at the claimed speed, the speed the engine buys, and the spheroid misfit of a rotated shell, all machine-checked in the tune script. Reported: Hapgood's stations and clock, Einstein's foreword, the measured rates on the ladder, the counted ice-core layers, the 1970 retreat, the 2015 switch. Modelled: the single uniform channel (the kindest possible frame for the claim), the staged cap discs and centroid offsets, the heat-map's rest state. There is no fitted constant anywhere on this bench.

The model, in full

The engine is Hapgood's own: an ice cap of mass M centred off the rotation axis feels an equatorward centrifugal pull F = MΩ²R·sinθcosθ. Spread over the whole crust-mantle interface that is the available shear stress. Against it, the claimed slide (30° of arc in the dialled duration) through a uniform channel of viscosity η and thickness h demands τ = ηv/h. The same numbers run backward give the speed the engine can actually sustain and the time 30° takes at that speed. Separately, a shell rotated by β over the spinning Earth's spheroid misfits it radially by up to (a−c)·sinβ: 10.7 km at 30°. Every anchor is checked in scripts/crust-displacement-tune.mjs.

Where this instrument takes liberties

Every liberty is taken in the claim's favour: the point-mass cap staging is within a factor ~2 of the distributed integral (checked); the whole thrust is assumed delivered as useful basal shear with no losses; the channel dial reaches 10¹⁷ Pa·s, softer than any published asthenosphere average; the Laurentide preset uses the top of the published mass range; and the bulge brake is priced separately rather than added to the bill. The gap survives all of it.
