Brown's discs ran at 50 kV. The Paris chamber reached 220. Winterhaven's proposal extrapolated to five million.

Chamber pressure…

The dial the whole argument turns on. Ions need gas. Below about 10⁻⁶ atmospheres the gap is collisionless and the ion term cannot exist.

Dielectric constant…

Air is 1, barium titanate is about 6,000. Brown reported far greater thrust with a massive high-K dielectric between the plates, and Turman measured thrust rising as roughly the square of K.

Field nonlinearity…

A one mil positive wire against a bluntly curved negative edge. Brown stressed this privately far more than in his patents, and on LaViolette's derivation it is what generates thrust at all.

Device mass…

Sets what fraction of its own weight the apparatus lifts. The Winston-Salem discs were reported past 110 percent; Brown told Turman none ever fully left the ground. The 1960 craft's mass is the one dial the book never gives: the Winterhaven preset assumes five tonnes for a seventy-foot hull, stated here rather than hidden.

What is measured vs reported vs modelled

Measured: that these devices move at all; Cady's 1952 ONR figures; Turman's bench results; Talley's vacuum null. Reported: the Paris vacuum tests, the 1960 thrust-versus-current curves, the Winston-Salem discs lifting past their own weight. These carry the book and none has an independent measurement chain. Modelled: the ion branch here is ordinary corona physics; the electrogravitic branch is computed strictly from the book's own stated scalings and anchored to its own reported 17 grams. Reading: whether the 1959 silence was classification or collapse. This instrument takes no side.

Where this instrument corrects the book

The book states that electrons accelerated through 150 kilovolts reach "about 82 percent of the speed of light". The exact relativistic value for 150 kV is 0.634 c; 0.82 c corresponds to roughly 380 kV. The Jar view prints both figures side by side. Being faithful to a book does not mean repeating its arithmetic in silence.

Where this drawing takes liberties

The lab is stylised: real dimensions for the discs, the beam and the course, simplified everything else. The Curve view plots only the two data points this instrument can actually quote from the text, Cady's 47 kV point and Brown's reported carousel point; the book reproduces a fuller log plot which is not reproduced here rather than invented. The craft is a proposal, staged as the 1960 report describes it, and nothing at that scale was ever built. Every thrust number on screen is computed live from the dials; none is placed by hand.
