What is exact vs modelled here

Exact: the two recorded orbits' arithmetic (89.4 and 90.0 minute periods, the 17.8 m/s perigee raise by vis-viva), Clohessy-Wiltshire relative motion and its per-orbit drift ledger, Cauchy's S/4 for the tumbling stage, and the sunlit-magnitude curve. Reported: the transcript's words, the stationkeeping band, the 2 rpm tumble, the mission record, the Gemini 6A rendezvous, Borman's later reading. Modelled: the attitudes, the venting spray, the particle stream's placement, the clock-bearing convention, the single-shed lab abstraction, the tape's pacing. There is no fitted constant anywhere on this bench.

The model, in full

One circular reference orbit at the insertion elements' semi-major axis carries the CW closed form; the stage's relative state is stationkeeping (staged wander inside the reported 18-46 m band) until the backing-away, then pure CW from the dialled kick. Ranges convert to apparent magnitude through the Lambertian sphere formula at the stage's Cauchy-equivalent 5.33 m diameter. The drift cards evaluate the same closed forms symbolically: 3T·dv per orbit along-track, a 4dv/n by 2dv/n radial loop, a dv/n cross-track swing. Every anchor is checked in scripts/gemini-7-tune.mjs.

Where this instrument takes liberties

The record gives words, not coordinates: the attitudes, the sun's bearing, the spray, the particle river's exact placement and the bogey marker's direction are staging consistent with the words, each labelled. The perigee raise is staged as a single shed event at the end of stationkeeping, where the real mission separated in stages; the arithmetic of the gap is unaffected. GET stamps for separation and the backing-away are approximate. The tape plays at a staged pace: the release carries no per-line clock. And the bogey marker deliberately marks a bearing, not a thing.
