What is reported vs measured vs modelled

Reported: every number printed on the frames: ALT 25,010, CAS 250 / M 0.61, the RNG lock at 4.4 closing to 3.4, and the crew audio. Measured: the clip's provenance: DoD confirmed and re-released it in 2020. Modelled: the calibrated scene, the ray family, the triangle's 13,000 ft, the ~40 mph, and the 40-115 mph wind band: exact arithmetic on stated inputs. Reading: what the object was. This instrument takes no side.

Where this drawing takes liberties

The scene is calibrated, not replayed: jet arc, object drift and EL/AZ are reconstructed so the reported symbology (ALT, CAS, RNG endpoints, ~15° bank, ~26° depression at lock) comes out right; the true ground track and headings that day are not public. The jet is drawn ~4× life size and the object sprite far larger than 1-2 m, or you would see neither. The Screen view is a legibility reconstruction, not frame-accurate ATFLIR symbology. The readouts are never stylized: speeds, angles, ranges and sizes follow the formulas exactly.
