What is exact vs modelled here

Exact: the disk gravity formula (checked by ring integration), momentum-theory downwash and power, Archimedes and the excess-weight overpressure, the Boussinesq form, the sun's position and every shadow length, offset and fringe. Reported: the instrument floors (iGrav, FG5-X, BMP390, InSAR), the rotorcraft anchors, the tide range, the eclipse cooling and the CAISO numbers, the ODNI sentence and the JAL 1628 phrase. Modelled: the city, the tower's address, the hull's shape, the crust stiffness under the field clause. There is no fitted constant anywhere on this bench.

The model, in full

One dial nobody measured (mass) against three ledgers that cannot be argued with. Gravity: the on-axis field of a uniform disk, g = 2GM/R²·(1 − h/√(h²+R²)), against published gravimeter floors with the solid-earth tide carried as the removable background it is. Lift: a hover must pay its weight in momentum (v = √(W/2ρA), power = Wv), in buoyancy (ρ_air × volume), or on the ground (∫ΔP dA = excess W; Boussinesq deflection if a field hands it to bedrock). Shadow: the sun as a 0.533° disc, penumbra fringe = path × tan 0.533°, offset = h/tan(elevation), blocked power = insolation × footprint. All constants audited in scripts/mothership-tune.mjs.

Where this instrument takes liberties

The city is a seeded scatter, not a map; the tower carries a real height at a staged address; the hull is a borrowed 3D model scaled to the dialled diameter and depth, darkened from its delivered chrome and with its portholes damped, because its shape enters no ledger: every number here is a function of diameter, altitude, depth and mass alone. The sky is not staged: it is the Preetham scattering model driven by the same sun vector the Shadow ledger prices, and it lights the city through its own environment map. The strip chart in the gravimeter view is a staged illustration of a real procedure. Downwash is drawn as a clean column; a real one would be a storm with structure. The crust under the field clause uses a staged stiffness, labelled on the panel. The fiction itself is quoted as premise, never as evidence.
