Per James Fowler of Skywatcher, a ground crew was extracurricularly tracking a passing Class 6 (Bright Star) UAP and manually rotating a high-energy microwave antenna toward it. The weapon was not yet aligned or active. Before the antenna finished aligning, three independent, isolated telemetry systems failed simultaneously.
Why it is cited
Fowler frames this as an example of UAP exhibiting reactive intent: a preemptive directed-energy response to a hostile human action before the action was completed. The independence and isolation of the three failed systems is what rules out, in Skywatcher’s reading, a common-mode local failure.
How to weigh it
Single-source. The incident is described publicly by Fowler in the 2025 American Alchemy interview clip; there is no corroborating government release or independent witness statement on the public record. The “preemptive” framing depends on Fowler’s reconstruction of the antenna’s alignment state at the moment of failure.
