The oolitic limestone complex at Homestead, Florida, quarried and erected single-handed by Edward Leedskalnin between 1923 and 1951, first at Florida City and then moved wholesale to its present site in 1936. Roughly 1,100 tons of stone, including a nine-ton gate balanced so finely that a child could turn it. Leedskalnin worked at night, admitted no observers, and took his method with him. Christopher Dunn enters it in The Giza Power Plant as modern proof that megaliths can be moved by non-obvious means; it proves that they can be moved by one man, patience and leverage over twenty-eight years, which is a different claim.
