Sources.

This site works from primary material, and this page is the shelf it all sits on: the government releases, the long-form interviews and the books that everything else here cites, with the films and series the reading room has covered shelved beside them. If you are new to the subject and want the real thing rather than the rumour mill, start here. Nothing below is paywalled, and wherever an original is public, it is linked. Watch the sources yourself first, then read what we make of them.

PURSUE Release 01

US Department of War, published 8 May 2026

The Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters. The first batch of declassified UAP files, around 160 documents spanning the 1940s to 2026. An interagency release: War Department, ODNI, Energy, AARO, NASA and FBI. This release is the basis of the site's Document Briefings.

PURSUE Release 02

US Department of War, published 22 May 2026

The second tranche of declassified UAP records. 51 video clips, numbered PR050 to PR099, located after eight members of Congress requested access on 6 March 2026. Carries a chain-of-custody caveat: many files lack a substantiated provenance, and uploader-assigned titles are not verified. The Document Briefings series covers this release alongside Release 01.

PURSUE Release 03

US Department of War, published 12 June 2026

The third tranche of declassified UAP records: 53 documents, 10 images and digital renderings, six videos and three NASA audio recordings, drawn from the CIA, FBI, NASA and the Department of War and spanning the 1940s to 2026. The CIA and NASA material is largely historical, taking in the Robertson Panel, Project Blue Book Special Report No. 14, the U-2 and OXCART overflights, and the Gemini astronaut debriefings. The Document Briefings series covers this release's documents alongside Releases 01 and 02; the video and audio files are held for now, pending a per-clip manifest.

PURSUE Release 04

US Department of War, published 10 July 2026

The fourth tranche of declassified UAP records: 40 records spanning 1948 to 2025, and the first release to include Department of Energy material alongside Department of War, CIA and NASA records. The written records take in the 1948-49 Air Intelligence Study 203, the 1949 Los Alamos green-fireball conference, the Avro saucer file, Project Blue Book's correspondence, and the Apollo debriefing tapes and STS-80 frames; the video records cover an Indo-Pacific cluster, US-homeland clips and a 1996 tape. PURSUE Release 05

US Department of War, published 7 August 2026

The fifth tranche of declassified UAP records: 41 records, being 21 documents, 4 images and 16 videos, spanning 1947 to 2026. It is the first release to carry an Executive Office of the President record and the first with State Department cables under a DOS prefix, alongside Department of War, CIA and FBI material. The written records take in the 1947-48 Headquarters USAF flying-disc file with the Twining letter, the Navy's 1953 analysis of the Utah and Montana films, the 1947 ghost-rockets intelligence review, the 1964 Puerto Rico radar contacts, the diplomatic paper trail of the 1963 Conde, Brazil case, and nine FBI FD-302 interviews spanning 2002 to 2026; the videos cover six AC-130 clips from the Gulf of Oman, five Pacific clips from 2019 and four CENTCOM clips. The Document Briefings series covers all 41 records across thirteen briefings.
