Jesse Michels’s American Alchemy episode with Lazar (2026) describes an aerial photograph taken by a pilot about 17 miles from the lake, whose contrast Luigi Vendittelli enhanced; it shows rectangular shapes on the hillside. On Chris Ramsay’s DEBRIEFED (episode 83), Ramsay counts nine doors in it and Lazar says of the image: “It’s exactly the way it looked.”

23 May 1989. Jesse Michels’s American Alchemy episode with Lazar (2026) gives this as the date stamped on a US Department of the Interior change to the geological map of Papoose Lake, eight days after Bob Lazar’s first anonymous TV appearance on 15 May 1989. The episode says the change removed the road from Groom Lake to the east side of the lake, where S4 would be, and kept the road to the west.
