In the 1952 talk released by PURSUE as DOW-UAP-D154, credited to Edward J. Ruppelt, the office says Battelle hopes to make specialists available and possibly a clipping service. The turn answering a question on Battelle gives the office’s split of its cases: roughly 80 per cent known objects, “or possibly”, say 60 per cent definitely; 20 per cent that maybe could have been a plane, a balloon or a meteor; and 20 per cent, like the green fireballs and the lights, with no answer.
Battelle does not appear in the Air Force intelligence file of the same year in the same release: Battelle, Robertson, panel and Scientific Advisory each return no hit in the Flying Discs File 1952.
