Night of 13-14 August 1956, RAF Bentwaters and RAF Lakenheath, England. Ground and airborne radar tracked objects at speeds reported up to thousands of miles per hour, with visual corroboration from the ground and an intercepting Venom crew. Reviewed for the Condon study, whose analyst Gordon Thayer called the case a probable “mechanical device of unknown origin”, among the strongest unexplained entries in the study that officially closed Project Blue Book.
