A 1977 US Army effort, run by the Assistant Chief of Staff for Intelligence through its Systems Exploitation Detachment, to assess what an adversary might do with Remote Viewing. It was not a CIA programme and not the SRI research contract, which ran separately as SCANATE; it is the point at which the Army took up the subject, and it was formalised as the operational unit GRILL FLAME in mid-1978.
