Operation Trojan Horse (1970) argued UFOs are a masquerading, ultraterrestrial phenomenon rather than extraterrestrial visitors; The Mothman Prophecies (1975) chronicled the 1966-67 Point Pleasant wave, with its Mothman sightings, hillside lights and Men In Black. His “superspectrum” and Cosmic Joker are load-bearing concepts in the Trickster chapter of Closer Encounters.
