A 17-second video clip, released in PURSUE Release 02 as DOW-UAP-PR072, showing a luminous phenomenon with radiating trails of diminishing brightness near Karaganda International Airport, Kazakhstan. AARO assesses the source as a commercial mobile phone in February 2022, uploaded to a classified network in April 2023.
The clip is the clearest provenance lesson in Release 02: AARO’s description states plainly that the media was digitally altered before upload and is presented as received. An altered video of a light, from an unknown phone, near a busy airport, is not usable as evidence of anything. AARO published it anyway, with the warning attached, as honest archiving of a file it knows to be compromised.
