MISREP

#concept #reporting #military

Mission report, the routine after-action paperwork an aircrew or operations centre files after a sortie. The vast majority of MISREPs have nothing to do with UAP. The ones in PURSUE Release 01 are those that happen to contain a UAP observation, logged in a dedicated GENTEXT block.

A MISREP follows a fixed template: a declassification stamp, a narrative timeline of the sortie, admin and equipment blocks, and one observation block per logged event. In the release the UAP description is usually left visible, while operational detail and personnel identities are redacted under Executive Order 13526. The standardised format is what lets a reader compare one report against another.
