US Air Force programme, with companion Operation Blue Fly, run under the 4602d Air Intelligence Service Squadron (created 1953) and successors. Declassified paperwork tasks it with locating and recovering “descended foreign space vehicles”, including objects of unknown origin, for the Foreign Technology Division at Wright-Patterson AFB. Cited in In Plain Sight as documentary evidence that a collection apparatus operated worldwide while the public line was that there was nothing to collect. Revealed largely through Robert Todd’s FOIA work and reporting by Leslie Kean. Its delivery counterpart is Project Blue Fly.
