Luminous balls of light that followed Allied (and Axis) aircraft into combat areas during the final years of WWII. Per Luis Elizondo: the start of the modern UAP record, predating the Roswell era. The American exploitation operation Project Lusty closed its foo-fighter enquiry in September 1945 “with negative result”; Renato Vesco later built the opposite conclusion, that they were German hardware, into the postwar literature.
