The 1950s reporting pipeline through which many military sighting reports travelled.

The Air Force’s Flying Discs File 1952 in PURSUE Release 06 holds a staff study of September 1952 on revising JANAP 146(B), prompted by confusion over who evaluated CIRVIS reports and by concern that the number of unidentified flying object reports arriving over the channels in cyclic flurries of sightings might one day saturate them, giving an excellent opportunity to conceal an air attack.
