Paul LaViolette’s proposal that the centre of the galaxy periodically emits bursts of cosmic rays which travel outward at near light speed, reach the solar system, and drive climate shifts, extinction events and the ice ages.

Why it belongs beside the antigravity work

Because it is the other half of the same author and it changes how Secrets of Antigravity Propulsion should be read. LaViolette published the superwave work in peer-reviewed venues and claims a series of confirmed predictions from it; it is a real, if minority, scientific programme by someone who publishes and commits to numbers. That background is why the theoretical chapters of the antigravity book are worked derivations rather than gestures, and why the author holds other experimenters to a standard he states plainly and then applies to himself in chapters eleven and twelve.

Its standing

It is not accepted. The galactic centre is not observed to do what the hypothesis requires on the timescales it requires, and the terrestrial evidence LaViolette assembles, beryllium-10 in ice cores, acid layers, extinction timings, has ordinary explanations that are the field’s preferred ones. He also connected it to Subquantum Kinetics, his continuous-creation alternative to big bang cosmology, which is further from acceptance still.
