The MRI cohort claim
Imminent reports that he was shown MRI scans of 105 experiencers and found white-matter scarring in all of them together with an overdeveloped caudate-putamen. No cohort definition, published paper or scan is reproduced, and the book supplies its own hedge on the underlying science: correlating the size of the caudate-putamen with intelligence is “a controversial claim that many researchers still disagree with”. The claim is the evidential floor of the sixth entry in Five Observables, and it is at present described rather than shown.
