Schulgen’s office was the collection point for the 1947 reports and the requester of the Air Materiel Command opinion that Twining returned. The addressee line, ATTENTION Brig. General George Schulgen, AC/AS-2, appears on page 234 of PURSUE Release 05 record DOW-UAP-D100. His division issued the collection guidance that shaped what field units were asked to report, and the correspondence file that became D100 runs through his successors in the same office symbol chain, AFOIR-CO, under General Charles P. Cabell as Director of Intelligence. The letter addressed to him has its own entry at Twining Memo 1947.
