On 16 March 1967 all ten Minuteman missiles of Echo Flight at Malmstrom AFB lost strategic alert “nearly simultaneously”, the 341st Strategic Missile Wing’s history records. Robert Salas and Jim Klotz, who write about the case in Faded Giant, report that a UFO was seen over one of the flight’s launch facilities; the wing history records that rumours of UFOs around Echo Flight “were disproven”. It is one of the cases under Nuclear Interference.
