British Aerospace’s programme on the physics of propellantless propulsion and gravity modification, run from the mid 1990s by Dr Ron Evans, a mathematician in the company’s Defence Military Aircraft exploratory studies group. Greenglow funded university experiments, acted as a European counterpart to NASA’s Breakthrough Propulsion Physics programme, and engaged with Eugene Podkletnov’s claims directly. The Hunt for Zero Point is careful about its scale, describing it as modest reseeding of company research money rather than a major effort.
Its importance to the book is institutional rather than technical: a major defence contractor was willing to fund work in this area under a name that avoided the word antigravity, which supports Cook’s argument that the taboo attaches to the term rather than to the funding.
