A scientific panel convened by the CIA in January 1953, chaired by physicist H. P. Robertson. It reviewed the best-documented UFO cases, concluded the phenomena posed no direct physical threat to national security, and recommended a public education programme to reduce public interest in UFO reports. Its proceedings are recorded in the Durant Report. Released in PURSUE Release 03 as CIA-UAP-002.
