THE DOCUMENTS
FBI-UAP-D032, “FD-302, Slow-moving Objects, 2026”, and FBI-UAP-D033, “FD-302, Thermally Elevated Aerial Object, 2026”, two Federal Bureau of Investigation records from the U.S. Department of War’s PURSUE Release 05, published at war.gov/ufo, cleared 7 August 2026. Each is a two-page FD-302 (Rev. 5-8-10) with an FD-302a continuation sheet, released as a scan carrying a machine OCR text layer. One video record is released alongside D032: FBI-UAP-PR007, “Slow-moving Objects,” 2026, whose official description names D032 and is the source for every statement about the footage here. The two 302s are the primary records.
Why this one is worth your time
Every other UAP observation in Release 05 begins with somebody looking up. This one begins with a machine. At approximately 1604 on an afternoon in 2026 a federal Special Agent was alerted to a radio-frequency detection: something at 10K MSL, lasting 5 to 10 seconds, at 90 burst, bearing unknown. Further communications narrowed it to 58 degrees. He picked up a thermal optic, looked where he was told, and saw two objects. Sensor first and eye second is a sequence that appears nowhere else in this tranche.
FBI-UAP-D033 is an FD-302, but nobody was interviewed for it. The Bureau received a written statement from a Special Agent and copied it into the form verbatim, so what reaches the reader is a serving agent’s own prose. In it he records a deliberate calibration: he filmed a U.S. Army Black Hawk in the same area, on purpose, to give himself a thermal and dimensional reference, and reported the unidentified object against it. Nothing else in this tranche records a witness setting up a comparison that way.
The two 302s do not describe the same thing, and the release does not say they are connected.
What the documents say
The forms. Both are FD-302 (Rev. 5-8-10) forms with FD-302a continuation sheets, two pages each, both carrying the FBI OFFICIAL RECORD stamp and the printed footer that the document contains neither recommendations nor conclusions of the FBI. Every date is a black bar except the year, which survives as 2026 in D032 and not at all in D033’s date of entry field, and in both the location reduces to the two words “United States”. Both also carry a redaction bar where a classification banner would sit, above the FBI header; the other Release 05 FBI files do not.
D032, who is speaking. The interviewee is himself a Special Agent, his agency withheld; the continuation sheet header on page 2 reads “Interview of [redacted] Special Agent [redacted]”. Two interviewers took the statement in person, at a location that is a bar, and the entry, investigation and drafting dates are all [redacted]/2026. His background is mostly black: he has held his position since a withheld date, and the form then states in consecutive sentences that he has no aviation expertise and that he has a redacted quantity of private pilot time. Both sentences are in the original.
D032, the cue. At approximately time 1604 he was alerted to a radio-frequency detection at a withheld location, at 10K MSL, for 5 to 10 seconds, at 90 burst, with an unknown bearing. Further communications clarified a request to observe at bearing 58 degrees. Others were with him at that location on the day; their names and titles are bars.
D032, the observation. Within a few minutes he used a thermal optical device, make withheld, to look at 58 degrees. He saw a black object in the sky, not moving fast, and took pictures with the device; while observing he saw a second object to the right of the first and took additional photos and videos. The two moved together at the same speed. Both were black hot. He lost view when they travelled a distance out of view, total observation time approximately 5 to 10 minutes. He is unable to estimate an altitude or a speed. The objects were above the mountain line, moving south-east, approximately 58 to 62 degrees, and their distance made direction of travel difficult to fix. He was the only one at his location to see them and the only one who used the optic. A withheld agent looked at the photos, which were provided to a Special Agent whose name is a bar.
The clip. FBI-UAP-PR007 is the footage from that optic, the only FBI video record in Release 05 and the only record carrying an FBI-UAP-PR prefix. Its official description runs to two sentences, with neither a timestamped shot breakdown nor the informational-purposes disclaimer that closes all fifteen Department of War video descriptions in the same release. It says a U.S. Government Special Agent captured the footage via hand-held optical thermal imaging device during a 2026 incident in the western United States, as described in FBI-UAP-D032, and that it features two slow-moving black-hot areas of contrast, visible in infrared imaging. That western United States is in the description and is a black bar in the 302. The released asset is 1,230,965 bytes, the smallest video file in Release 05, and runs 10 seconds at 768 by 576; DVIDS ID 1017801, VIRIN 260101-D-D0360-9099, a January-first placeholder encoding the year and nothing finer.
D033, not an interview. Nobody was questioned. On or about a withheld date in 2026 the FBI received, from a withheld Special Agent, a written statement signed by a withheld Special Agent, and the form records that the statement will be attached to this FD-302 and is provided verbatim below for ease of reading. Everything after that sits inside quotation marks. The page 2 header reads “Statement of”, where D032’s reads “Interview of”. The statement’s own heading is “Unidentified Aerial Object Observation Report evening of [redacted]/26”.
D033, the observation. On a withheld date in 2026, at approximately 2100 hours, the agent was positioned in the same general observation area referenced in his prior statement. He observed a thermally elevated aerial object in the same general western sector and along a similar heading as the object observed the previous night. It appeared approximately two ridge lines farther west than the earlier one; the increased distance and terrain separation left him unable to identify specific physical characteristics or determine its exact configuration. It presented as a hot aerial object through thermal observation and appeared to be flying southbound, consistent with the prior night. It continued southbound and was eventually lost to terrain and distance.
D033, the ruler. During the same operational period he also recorded video of a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter operating in the same general area, to establish a visual and thermal reference point for scale, flight characteristics and comparative size assessment. Measured against it, the unidentified aerial object appeared to be approximately half the size of the Black Hawk. He flags the comparison himself as an estimate only, based on observed appearance, distance and available reference footage. He was unable to determine the object’s make, model or propulsion type, or whether it was a fixed-wing, rotary-wing or other unmanned aerial system, due to the distance and limited observable detail.
Two records, opposite polarities. D032’s pair are black hot, which in the device’s rendering means colder than their background; D033’s single object presents as a hot aerial object. The two records describe opposite thermal signatures, and the geometry does not line up either: D032 is bearing 58 degrees, east-north-east, at 1604 in daylight, D033 the western sector at 2100 at night. Neither file mentions the other, and nothing in the release connects them.
What the documents do not say
Neither identifies anything. Neither carries an assessment, a hypothesis, an attribution or a follow-up, and the printed footer on both says as much.
Neither says when. In D032 the year 2026 survives and the day and month are bars; in D033 even the year is gone from the date of entry field, surviving only in the narrative and in the statement’s heading as “/26”. Whether the two events are days or months apart is not in the record.
Neither says where. Both locations reduce to “United States”, and the only geography that reaches the reader is what the witnesses put into their own narratives: a mountain line in D032, ridge lines and a western sector in D033, plus the western United States that appears in the video description and not in the file.
D033 rests on a document that is not here. It refers to the same general observation area referenced in a prior statement, and to an object seen the previous night; that statement is not in Release 05, so a reader cannot check the comparison the agent is drawing. The signed statement D033 says will be attached is not published either. No imagery accompanies D033, the Black Hawk reference video is described and not released, and no footage of the object itself appears anywhere in the tranche.
D032’s gaps are of a different kind. It gives no altitude and no speed, because the witness says he cannot estimate either. It describes the radio-frequency detection only as 10K MSL, 5 to 10 seconds and 90 burst, and does not say what equipment made it, who operated it, what 90 burst refers to, or what the bearing was before it was narrowed. It does not name the make of the optic, or the agency the interviewee serves in.
D033 gives no count, no duration, and no time for the Black Hawk recording relative to the sighting. Neither file has a corroborating observer: D032’s witness was the only one at his location to see the objects, though others were present, and D033 is one agent’s signed statement with nobody else recorded as having been there. Nothing anywhere records what the Bureau made of either account.

Where the case connects
These are the last two FBI documents in the release’s numbering and the newest events in it. The rest of Release 05’s FBI material is older and different in shape: two dark triangles from 2002 and 2011 in Release 05 Briefing 9, and the two Colorado Springs triangles of October 2023 in Release 05 Briefing 10. In all four the witnesses are members of the public and the Bureau is the interviewer. Here the witnesses are serving federal agents, and in D033 the Bureau is not interviewing anyone at all: it is filing a colleague’s written statement into the form used for interviews.
The nearest relative in this tranche is Release 05 Briefing 12, the multiple red lights case of 2026: also FBI, also 2026, also two federal witnesses, also seen through an optical device rather than the naked eye. The nearest structural relative is Release 05 Briefing 1, the Gulf of Oman report and its six clips, the other document-and-footage pairing in Release 05; that report describes cold orbs, seen in both white-hot and black-hot polarity. That is a fact about the two records rather than an argument that they are related. Neither mentions the other.
Release 05 Briefing 13 sets out what this tranche references and does not contain. D033’s prior statement belongs on that list, and so do the attached signed statement, the Black Hawk reference video, and whatever the FBI wrote after receiving either account.
