The US federal department that coordinates and publishes the PURSUE releases, hosting the declassified UAP records at war.gov/ufo. It is the lead agency for unsealing UAP-related documents under the Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters.
Its released records draw on material from combatant commands, including USCENTCOM and USNORTHCOM, and from contributing agencies such as ODNI, the Department of Energy, AARO, NASA and the FBI. The Department of War is the institutional anchor for almost every document discussed in the Document Briefings series.
