The name given to the sealed research organisation Hans Kammler is said to have run from inside the Skoda Works at Pilsen in the last months of the war, reporting to nobody and unknown to Speer and Goering. The account rests on a single chain: Wilhelm Voss, Skoda’s former director general, described it to the journalist Tom Agoston in 1949, and Agoston published it in Blunder! How the U.S. Gave Away Nazi Supersecrets to Russia (1985). Voss also said that when he told American counter-intelligence about the organisation he was ordered never to speak of it again.
The Hunt for Zero Point uses the Kammlerstab as the institutional bridge between the documented wartime record and the Die Glocke story, on the grounds that the Reich’s exotic work had moved from the Luftwaffe to the SS by 1945. No independent documentation of the organisation has surfaced.
