PURSUE Release 06 record DOW-UAP-D128, the Defense Intelligence Reference Document titled Anomalous Acute and Subacute Field Effects on Human Biological Tissues, dated 11 March 2010, 38 pages, with no control number. It is the only one of the 37 released DIRDs whose text uses UFO as a word, and none uses UAP.
Its Summary argues that clinical findings in people injured near anomalous aerospace systems can inform, through diagnosis, the physical characteristics of possible future systems of unknown provenance, and that enough incidents have been reported, with medical data, to support a hypothesis that some advanced systems are already deployed and opaque to full US understanding. Its Preface opens on three antenna engineers who, it says, developed skin reddening, fever, hair loss and other signs after an accidental near-field exposure to broad-band radiofrequency energy centred at about 785 MHz, citing a 1997 paper in an occupational medicine journal; it sets their reported symptoms and signs beside those in the Cash-Landrum Incident 1980 and finds no significant differences. For an exotic mechanism it offers but one hypothesis: a craft’s blackbody spectrum blue-shifted under spacetime manipulation for lift and propulsion. Appendix A reproduces a 1996 catalogue of 356 cases of physiological effects, 1873 to 1994, compiled by John Schuessler of MUFON; Appendix C reproduces the Jacques Vallee rating scales.
The paper does not say its author examined the engineers, and it does not say they were near a vehicle of any kind: it calls their event anomalous and aerospace-related, then gives the finding of an accidental exposure. It cites a Technical Study 10.0 Human Effects, which matches in number and name the tenth study area of the AAWSAP Contract HHM402-08-C-0072; neither record says they are the same. Its author’s name is replaced on the front matter by one of the AAP Person Labels.
