Office of the DIA’s Directorate for Analysis named as the preparing office on all 37 Defense Intelligence Reference Documents in PURSUE Release 06 (DIRDs).
Its Acquisition Support Division (DWO-3) prepared the papers dated up to 6 April 2010, under the cover series line Acquisition Threat Support and a note placing each in a series of advanced technology reports produced in FY 2009 under the office’s Advanced Aerospace Weapon System Applications (AAWSA) Program. Its Technology Warning Division (DWO-4) prepared those dated from 1 November 2010, under the series line Defense Futures, FY 2010 and a boxed sentence defining the document type; the routing code changes with them, from CLAR/DWO-3 to JUIAF - DI/DWO-3. Twenty-six papers carry the earlier set and eleven the later; one Defense Futures paper, DOW-UAP-D144, still says FY 2009.
The statement of objectives in the AAWSAP Contract HHM402-08-C-0072 file names the agency’s Acquisition Support Division (DWO-3) as responsible for guidance and oversight of Department of Defense acquisition and for projections of the future threat environment. Every paper spells the programme AAWSA; none prints AAWSAP, which is the release’s own spelling.
