The twelve investigation reports, numbered B-001 to B-012, that BAASS produced for AAWSAP alongside its monthly reports, the DIRDs and the project management plan addenda. James Lacatski lists them in chapter 9 of Future Visions and prints each as a chapter, chapters 22 to 33, every one described in the book’s references as edited excerpts from BAASS files dated 16 April 2010. As the book puts it, the investigations were conducted by BAASS personnel.

The series

B-001 is the Tic Tac Incident, built on the Nimitz aircrew interviews of January to June 2009; B-002 an F-15C encounter near RAF Lakenheath in January 2007; B-003 to B-009 regional investigations at Lincoln City and Portland in Oregon, Trout Lake in Washington, Phoenix and Lake Havasu City in Arizona, Woodward in Oklahoma, and Marathon and Liberty in Texas; B-010 and B-011 the two sightings by one Navy pilot, Submerged Egg 2002 and China Lake Egg 2004; and B-012 a July 2009 case at Lagol, California.

Reading them

What the public has of them is what the book prints: edited excerpts, as its references describe each chapter. The two Navy sightings show what that means in practice, a written statement and a telephone interview taken years after the event, with no sensor data. The site’s Submerged Egg Buoyancy Bench and Tic Tac Kinematics bench are built on the cases behind B-010 and B-001.
